Tracking your Marketing Budget

It can be really easy to blow through your marketing budget in no time. A simple ad campaign in the newspaper could wipe out a quarters worth of the budget and produce very little results.

This can be a big drain on you mentally and emotionally and really cause problems with your ability to generate new clients and prospects. So as you are working with your planning, take the time to budget your marketing activities and figure out the most effective ways to market yourself and your business.

If you have wholesalers that you work with, many times they will help offset the cost seminars and help you with the presentation. Talk with them.

If there are local professionals that you have strategic partnerships with, talk to them about doing joint mailings. Maybe you could tell them you are putting together a package to mail out to all the new home owners in the community and you are allowing one professional from a certain industry to contribute and if they wanted to be involved they would only have to pay 20% of the mailing and get their insert to you for packaging. Then you make the same offer to 4 other professionals and you have a complete mailing paid for. Now you have the entire cost of the mailing paid for and all you have to do is put it together (I hope that you are smart enough to put your own marketing piece in with everyone else).

It is not too hard to think of cheap ways to market your business.

Just think a little outside the box and take action.
